What We’re Geeking Out About This Week
1. The X-Men – Duh.
2. The future site of Starfleet Academy – This is the same locale as Becky’s work, a fact we did not realize prior to today for reasons that cannot be explained.
3. Green Bat Lantern Man – A crossover of two of the greatest ideas ever that does not totally suck ass.
4. Gruul’s Lair – Our guild’s first kill ever, and a one-shot. Go cry, emo gronn.
5. Hiro Nakamura – saving the world, one live burial at a time.
6. Dickens Faire – Corsets! Waistcoats! Pocketwatches! Corsets!
Wait, there’s more! Here’s some author-specific bonus geekage!
Rudraigh: Rock Band, when you’re not sitting in the same room as your little sister who plays the same Ok Go song SIX TIMES in a row.
Becky: The new Prince Caspian trailer, which probably loses her some street cred, but whatever, because The Chronicles of Narnia is for the win in any incarnation. Also, there is nothing not awesome about centaurs.

the only not awesome thing about centaurs is grinding rep with them in desolace between levels 30 and 40 in WoW

I’m not certain where you come across stating that the future site of Starfleet Academy is where Becky works. According to official Star Trek dogma, the location is in the Presidio, adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge (most believe it to be in the current location of the Main Post). However, artwork for the upcomming Star Trek Online MMORPG places the Academy on Horseshoe Bay in Fort Baker, at the current location of the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Of course, this could be because the President of the company developing the game is married to one of the Museum’s board members.

When this was first described to me, I thought immediately of Fort Point.
Maybe it’s a HUGE campus.

Noobs. It’s not just the campus, it’s Headquarters as well, and yes, it is huge, and yes, I work there. Hush.
